How Can I Get My Blog Found in AI Search?
AI search is changing the way people find information online. Instead of typing a few keywords into Google and working through a list of websites, people can now ask a question and receive an answer that brings information together from several sources.
That creates a new opportunity for bloggers and website owners. When you publish useful, relevant content and make your website easy for search engines to understand, AI search engines may use your articles as sources when they answer questions.
So, how can you get your blog mentioned by AI search engines?
There is no magic button that guarantees it. In fact, the approach starts with many of the same SEO principles that have always mattered. You need useful content, a website that search engines can crawl, clear information and enough topical relevance to make your pages useful sources.
I’ve started paying more attention to AI search with MattFeastOnline because I see it as another way people could discover my content about blogging, SEO, online business and making money online.
What Does It Mean To Be Mentioned By AI Search?
When someone uses an AI search service, the system can gather information from different websites before producing an answer. Instead of simply displaying a list of search results, the AI can combine information from several sources and provide a more direct response.
An AI search engine may mention or link to your website as one of the sources behind its answer. This changes the way I think about SEO.

Traditional Google SEO often focuses on getting a webpage to rank for a particular search term and encouraging someone to click through to the website.
AI search creates another opportunity. Someone might ask, “How do I get my first 100 blog visitors?” An AI search system could use information from several relevant websites when it creates the answer.
That means I don’t want to create content simply because I found a keyword. I want to create content that answers a genuine question and gives the reader something useful.
How Do AI Search Engines Find Blog Content?
AI search engines still rely heavily on the wider web to find information.
Google connects its AI search features with its wider Search systems, while other AI services use their own methods to discover and retrieve information from websites.
That means the fundamentals still matter.
Search engines need to crawl your website. They need to understand your pages and determine what your content covers. Your articles also need to provide useful information that matches what people are looking for.
This is one reason I would not abandon traditional SEO simply because AI search continues to grow.
For me, building a website still starts with creating useful content around a clear subject. AI search simply gives that content another potential route to discovery.
How Can I Get My Blog Into Google AI Search?
You cannot simply submit an article to Google and ask it to include your website in an AI answer.
Instead, you need to build a website that Google can crawl, index and understand.
You also need to create useful content around the subjects you want your website to cover.
For example, MattFeastOnline covers blogging, SEO, online business, digital skills and online income. These subjects naturally connect with topics such as starting a blog, getting blog traffic, keyword research, backlinks, content creation and building an online business.
When I create related content and connect those articles with internal links, I give search engines more information about the subjects my website covers.
Google has also explained that existing SEO best practices continue to apply to its AI search features. You don’t need a completely separate set of SEO rules to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode.
That makes sense to me because search engines still need useful information before they can provide useful answers.
How Can I Get My Website Mentioned By AI?
This is where I think many website owners look for a shortcut.
They want to know which plugin they should install, which technical trick they should use or which secret method will make ChatGPT or another AI system mention their website.
I don’t think that’s the best approach.
Instead, think about becoming a useful source of information.
That is something I want to do more with MattFeastOnline.
Rather than writing another generic article about making money online, I can explain what I’ve actually learned from building websites, creating content, working with SEO and developing an online business over the years.
That gives the content something that a completely generic article cannot provide.
Write Content Around Questions People Ask
One of the easiest ways to make your content more suitable for AI search involves thinking about questions rather than focusing only on keywords.
Someone might search Google for: blog traffic But they could ask an AI search engine:
How can I get traffic to a new blog with no audience?
Both searches have a similar purpose, but the second one gives you a much clearer idea of what the person wants to know.
That is why I like using natural questions within my articles.
Instead of creating a generic section called “Blog Traffic”, I could use a heading such as:
How Can I Get More Traffic To My Blog?
I can then answer that question directly before explaining the subject in more detail.
This approach also gives me opportunities to naturally use related phrases such as blog traffic, website traffic, getting visitors to your blog, increasing blog traffic and how to get traffic to a new website.
I don’t need to force those phrases into every paragraph. They should appear naturally as part of the conversation.
Does SEO Still Matter For AI Search?
Yes, I believe SEO still matters.
I would be careful about anyone claiming that traditional SEO has suddenly become irrelevant because of AI search.
Search engines still need to discover, understand and evaluate web content. AI search systems also need reliable information when they create answers.
Microsoft has described how its AI experiences use web information to support answers, and Bing Webmaster Tools now provides information about website citations in AI-generated answers.
That development interests me because it means website owners can increasingly look at how their content appears within AI search rather than simply guessing.
Bing’s AI Performance reporting can provide information about pages that receive citations, along with related topics and queries.
For me, that makes AI search much more interesting.
I can continue working on the SEO foundations of MattFeastOnline while also watching how AI search develops.
Create Content That Answers The Whole Question
Another thing I’ve learned from building websites is that a short answer does not always provide enough value.
If someone asks how to start a blog, they probably want more than a definition.
They may want to know how to choose a subject, which platform to use, how to find keywords, how often to publish, how to attract visitors and how long it might take before the blog starts receiving traffic.
A useful article can answer the main question and then deal with those related questions.
That approach also helps you build topical coverage because you create connected information instead of publishing isolated articles that have little relationship with each other.
Use Your Own Experience
This may become one of the biggest opportunities for smaller bloggers.
You don’t have to compete with huge websites by trying to sound like one.
You can offer something those websites may not have: your own experience.
With MattFeastOnline, I can talk about what I’ve experienced while building the site, working on SEO, creating articles, improving internal links, getting pages indexed and watching search visibility develop.
I don’t need to pretend that I have a secret formula for ranking websites.
I’d rather explain what I’ve actually done, what I’ve learned and what I still need to improve.
That makes the content more natural and gives readers a reason to trust what I say.
Don’t Create Hundreds Of AI Articles
I don’t think you need to publish hundreds of AI-generated articles to get noticed by AI search engines.
In fact, that approach could create more problems than it solves if you end up with lots of repetitive pages that provide little original value.
One strong article can cover a subject much better than ten pages that all repeat the same information.
For example, I don’t need separate articles targeting “AI search SEO”, “AI SEO”, “AI search optimisation” and “AI search visibility” if they all provide the same information.
I can create one useful article that naturally covers the wider topic and then connect it to related articles on my website.
That creates a much more useful content network.
Make Your Website Easy To Crawl
There is also a technical side to AI search that website owners should not ignore.
If you want ChatGPT Search to discover your content, OpenAI recommends allowing OAI-SearchBot to crawl your website.
That means you should check your robots.txt settings and make sure you haven’t accidentally blocked the crawler.
You should also make sure search engines can access your important pages and that you haven’t accidentally prevented important content from appearing in search results.
This may not feel as exciting as writing a new article, but it matters.
You can spend hours creating useful content, but search engines and AI systems cannot use that content if technical settings prevent them from accessing it.
Keep Building Your Blog For The Long Term
For me, AI search does not provide a reason to completely change the way I build MattFeastOnline.
Instead, it gives me another reason to keep improving the site.
I want MattFeastOnline to provide useful information about blogging, SEO, online business, digital skills and online income. I want related articles to connect with each other through internal links, and I want my own experience to play a bigger role in the content.
As the site grows, search engines have more information that helps them understand what the website covers.
Individual articles also have more opportunities to answer specific questions.
That is why I still think building a blog makes sense.
The way people search continues to change, but people still need useful information.
Final Thoughts On Getting Your Blog Mentioned By AI Search
You cannot guarantee that an AI search engine will mention your blog, and no single SEO trick will make it happen.
The better approach involves building a website that provides genuinely useful information.
Answer the questions people actually ask. Cover subjects in enough depth to help the reader. Use natural language instead of stuffing keywords into every paragraph. Connect related articles with internal links and share your own experience when you have something useful to add.
At the same time, keep your normal SEO foundations in place and make sure search engines and AI crawlers can access your content.
I’m still learning how AI search will develop with MattFeastOnline, but I see it as another opportunity rather than something to worry about.
Google, Bing and AI services continue to change the way people discover information. I think bloggers who focus on useful, experience-based content can give themselves more opportunities to appear in those changing search results. The important thing is not to chase every new AI search trend.
Keep building a useful blog, answer the questions people are asking and give search engines something worth mentioning.
My Recommendation
If you are looking for new ways to explore AI traffic generation, the AI Traffic Agent is something worth taking a closer look at.
The system is promoted as an AI-powered traffic solution that can analyse competitor campaigns across platforms including Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and others. The idea is to help you find campaigns that are already working, use those insights to develop your own campaigns and reduce some of the time you would normally spend researching and planning.
I particularly like the idea of using AI to help with the research side of traffic generation. From my own experience building websites and looking for ways to attract visitors, finding the right traffic strategy can often take more time than creating the content itself.
The AI Traffic Agent is also promoted with a one-time payment rather than an ongoing monthly fee, which may appeal to online marketers who want to avoid adding another recurring subscription to their monthly expenses.
I would still recommend taking some time to look at exactly what is included before making a decision. AI tools can certainly save time, but the results will depend on how you use them and the campaigns you create.
If you are interested in experimenting with AI traffic generation and want an AI-based system to help with competitor research, campaign ideas and traffic planning, the AI Traffic Agent is worth exploring.
